Validity of Nikaah

As salam wale kum Hazrat kindly advice if our Nikaah is valid once my friend insisted while we were chanting on Facebook and I offer the proposal of marriage and she replied her acceptance"Qubool hai" via msg on chat. please answer if our Nikaah valid. and also kindly let me know if you need more info regarding the same. Jzak Allah.

As Muslim we should be cautious in how we interact and socialise with people and to stay away from Haram and Fitna. Intermingling with the opposite sex who is not your Mahram relative is Haram, you must make Tawbah and Istighfar.

With regards to your question, Nikah would not take place due to not having any witnesses.


ولا ينعقد نكاح المسلمين إلا بحضور شاهدين حرين عاقلين بالغين مسلمين رجلين أو رجل وامرأتين عدولا كانوا أو غير عدول أو محدودين في القذف
