Al-jawab billahi at-taufeeq (the answer with Allah's guidance)

Alot can be done to promote Islam in an 'Islamic' faith school. However, many a time the shaitaan causes us to deviate and be slack in doing so.

The amount and nature of what you can do in order to promote this depends upon your role and connections with regards to the school.

1) As teachers or the management the syllabus, lessons, and the general ethos of the school can be modified in order to make it as 'spiritual' as they possibly can. All activities should be in compliance with the shariah.

2) As parents, the school should be supported in all that they do in order to promote Islam. At home the parents should try and create an Islamic environment so that it is not contradicting what the child learns at school. Homework and religious observances should be performed with the children in order to instill their significance within the childs mind.

3) As a general person in the society we should appreciate all the school is doing and show support to them.

Finally All should make dua heartily for the progress of the school and the establishment of the commands of Allah within our homes, our schools and societies. Instead of taking a sceptical approach one must try and ask themselves first and foremost if they are fulfilling their end of the bargain as many are in the habit of laying the blame on such instituitions. One must remember the Hadith:

The help of Allah is upon the united group of people.

And thus a united effort will most certainly bear its fruit Insha-Allah.

And Allah Ta'alaa knows best
