Waalaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.
Bismillahir rahmaanir rahim.

It would be permissable to carry on reading from this dua book so long as the intention is solely for invocation (dhikr of Allah) and not for Quraan recitation as this will then be impermissable and regarded as an act of disobedience. One does not need to perform wudhu' as it is not the actual Quraan, Quraan exegesis, book of the sacred law (fiqh kitab) nor hadith (provided the Quraanic verses are lesser compared to the text in the last three mentioned books).

And Allah knows best.

Wassalam.
